Phoenix (played by Wu Jinxin), who grew up in an orphanage, is determined to take revenge on the killer who murdered her mother. The clue is a priceless gold nugget shaped like a dog's head. Phoenix trains three erotic spies to break into the vault and steal the dog head gold. She then spreads word to sell it back to the owner at a high price. The owner, Lord Long, is an underground gold tycoon, a Buddhist who swears not to harm women, and offers a large sum of money to the trickster 'Matchstick' in hopes of retrieving the gold without resorting to violence. However, things do not go as planned, and during the struggle, the bond between Matchstick and Phoenix deepens, leading them to fall in love. It is revealed that Lord Long is both the murderer of Phoenix's mother and her biological father. Matchstick dies, the assistant girl dies, and Lord Long commits suicide. Phoenix, feeling desolate, leaves Lord Long's villa, disbands the Phoenix Society, donates the dog head gold to the museum, and quietly departs.
