On a stormy night, a young boy named David (played by Hunter Carson) witnesses a mysterious unidentified flying object landing in the dunes near his home. The next day, his father decides to climb the dune to investigate. However, when he returns, he has become cold and hostile, completely different from the kind man he was before. Soon, David's mother begins to show similar changes. Confused and troubled, David gradually discovers that extraterrestrial beings have kidnapped the residents of the town and implanted a device in their spine that can control their brains. However, no matter how hard he tries to tell others the truth, no one believes him. As time goes on, David becomes increasingly worried about his parents. He notices that they start eating raw meat, and the teachers at school also exhibit similar strange behaviors. The entire town begins to edge closer to madness.
