The film tells the story of two brothers, Mike and Dale, on opposing sides of the Civil War, who team up to return home after the war ends. However, they find their hometown ravaged by a group of Southern rebels, with many people kidnapped and about to be sold into slavery, including their younger siblings and Dale's beloved Katie. Thus, a new journey of rescue and adventure begins.
