Filmmaker Leo pursues a pack of wolves in the south of France. During a hunting trip, he is seduced by the free-spirited and vibrant shepherdess Mary. Nine months later, their child is born. Tormented by postpartum depression and lacking trust in the fickle Leo, Mary abandons them, leaving Leo to care for their child alone. Although this life is not easy, Leo loves it deeply from within. After a series of unexpected and unusual encounters, Leo struggles to find inspiration for his next film and is determined to stand firm and persevere against all odds.
