Fang Yuyin (played by Chen Jialing) is chosen to be the sacrifice for Wu Tong Shen (played by Anthony Wong). Shan Gen secretly saves her, but Wu Tong Shen vents his anger on the villagers, humiliating them everywhere. The dwarf monk reveals to Yuyin that in her previous life, she was actually the partner of Wu Tong Shen. As long as she combines with Shan Gen, they can generate enough power to counter the magic. However, Shan Gen has been frozen by Wu Tong Shen, and Yuyin is forced to lead everyone to attack the demon lair.
