The story begins in the exotic Netherlands, where Han Jie (played by Li Quan) is about to head to Barcelona to attend an important conference in three days. However, at this critical moment, Han Jie discovers that his luggage and passport are mysteriously missing. With no other choice, he decides to rent a car to drive himself, and thus, he meets a Chinese female student named Xi Yang (played by Li Xinyun) who is also in the car. Over the course of these short yet long three days and two nights, many events unfold between Han Jie and Xi Yang. Due to immense work pressure, Han Jie develops insomnia, while Xi Yang is trapped in the dark emotions stemming from her ex-boyfriend's suicide, unable to pull herself out. As time ticks away, they both realize they are wounded individuals and feel a strange emotion rising between them, but it is not love. At the end of this journey, where will this man and woman go from here?
