This film is based on real stories in the Korean War.
In August 1950, the Korean People's Army conquered Seoul and headed south.South Korea recruited students to join the army and formed the "Address Volunteer Army" to resist tenaciously.The troops where the apprentice Wu Zhangfan (played by Choi Seung-hyun/T.O.P) were defeated by the People's Army Company. In order to supplement the troops, dozens of apprentice soldiers joined the battle sequence, including the bad student Jia Zhao (played by Kwon Sang-woo), whose parents were killed by the People's Army.
