Actress Haruna Kawaguchi (29) will star in NTV's Saturday 10 PM drama "ensemble," set to premiere in January next year, alongside Hokuto Matsumura (29) from the group SixTONES, with whom she is collaborating for the first time. They will play lawyers in this brand-new original "legal love story" that is distinctly different from traditional courtroom dramas. This will be Kawaguchi's first leading role in an NTV drama, with the script co-written by Takashi Kuniyoshi, Hayato Tokuhashi, and Tomomi Nishioka. In the show, Kawaguchi portrays a popular lawyer, Sena Koyama, full of realism, who partners with the idealistic rookie lawyer, Yu Masudo, played by Matsumura. Together, they tackle various love-related legal cases, often clashing in court due to their completely opposite personalities regarding love's ideals and realities. However, as they resolve each romantic dispute in the best possible manner, they come to understand each other better and gradually draw closer. The "lessons in love" learned through their legal battles are also applied to their own romantic lives. The show will air every Saturday at 10 PM starting in January 2025!
