Synopsis

As the saying goes, in the rivers and lakes, one can’t control their own fate. The one-armed knife king Fang Gang (played by Wang Yu) is tired of the bloodshed in the martial arts world, the vengeance and retaliation, and has turned to live a secluded life in the mountains with his wife Xiao Man (played by Jiao Jiao), engaging in farming and laboring. On a sunny day, the dual knife wielders Guan Shun and Guan Heng bring an invitation without hesitation, asking Fang Gang to attend the Knife Gathering on the Fifth of May at the Overlord Stronghold. All skilled knife users are invited to decide who will be crowned the Knife King. Fang Gang is determined not to attend, but soon, Master Lu of the Chaoyang Knife arrives to tell him about the heinous deeds of the eight knife kings of the Overlord Stronghold over the years and that the purpose of this Knife Gathering is undoubtedly to subdue all knife users in the martial arts world. Fang Gang insists on not going, even driving off the two knife wielders with his exceptional skills.
