The play is adapted from a classic science fiction novel, telling the story of a mysterious alien lord leading an alien race to Earth in the name of peace. Their arrival ends all wars on Earth and transforms it into a nearly utopian paradise. In fact, this is precisely the terrifying aspect of this alien race: when humanity is unable to resist and has not the slightest doubt, they have already been 'conquered' by them.
