 Synopsis
Years ago, the scientist Seth (played by Jeff Goldblum) had just invented a 'telepod' capable of teleporting objects. This machine could disassemble an object and then automatically reassemble it after transmission. Excited, Seth decided to personally experience the telepod, so he entered the teleportation chamber. Unfortunately, a fly also flew into the chamber at that moment, and when the machine reassembled Seth's disassembled molecules, it inadvertently incorporated the fly's molecules into Seth's body. Seth became a fly-man with a half-fly genetic makeup.At first, Seth's body became strong and energetic, much like Spider-Man, and his girlfriend Veronica (played by Geena Davis) found it hard to believe her boyfriend's strange claims. However, as Seth's body quickly began to deteriorate, growing hair, losing teeth, and oozing with fluid, Veronica gradually came to accept this reality. She did not abandon her boyfriend but calmly accepted the situation with him, even as he became more grotesque, she still embraced him as they slept together.
