 Synopsis
The situation in Chinatown, USA, became more complicated due to the influx of Vietnamese refugees. The authorities grew increasingly concerned and fearful, and secretly devised a "divide and conquer" policy. One day, taxi driver Guan Zhihua was unexpectedly attacked by the Vietnamese gang. Guan and his companions prepared to take revenge. When they arrived at the gathering place of the Vietnamese gang, they found that all of their rivals had already fallen victim to poison. After receiving reports, the police surrounded the area, and Guan was wanted as the suspect; he had no choice but to return to Hong Kong to hide. The American police pursued him to Hong Kong, where Guan found himself again in a deadly trap. He learned from a lawyer that this was a political conspiracy. Thanks to Guan's intelligence and bravery, the Vietnamese gang could not harm him, but they captured his wife and child as hostages to force him to surrender. During a hostage exchange in Macau with the Vietnamese gang, a bloody battle broke out. Though he rescued his wife and child, he anticipated that the days ahead would still be fraught with thorns.
