"Recess" is a cartoon series that was launched by Disney Channel in 1997. In 2000, "Recess" won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program in the United States. In 2001, Disney adapted it into an animated movie called "Recess: School's Out." The story revolves around six characters: T.J., who always wears a red baseball cap, loves to prank and causes headaches for teachers; Vince, a talented athlete and chef who knows all the latest gossip at school; Spinelli, a tomboy who excels at wrestling and is incredibly brave; Gretchen, a smart girl referred to as the 'brainiac' by older kids; Mikey, a chubby boy who speaks philosophically but loves to eat; and Gus, a new student from a strict military family. These six characters, coming from different social backgrounds and cultures, engage in various interesting stories that take place in classrooms, playgrounds, and at home.
