Seattle magazine writer Sam Hart is sent back to her hometown of Eternal, Oregon, to cover the wedding of social media influencer Heather Brooks. Sam is reluctant to leave because she has never forgotten the breakup with her childhood sweetheart, Liam, years ago. When Sam arrives, she discovers that the wedding is not only taking place at Liam's family's vineyard, but that Liam is the groom. Sam and Liam initially do not get along well. Meanwhile, the relationship between Heather and Liam is strained because she wants to live in New York rather than Eternal. Heather leaves town to handle some wedding details, and during her absence, Sam and Liam spend more time together as Sam is researching the vineyard for her article. Sam and Liam begin to enjoy each other's company. Their old flame rekindles, but as the wedding date approaches, both find it difficult to admit this.
