 Synopsis
Developing feelings over a long time with benefactors relies on minimal luck, but cannot be separated from the unfortunate marriages of the benefactors and one's own kindness in honoring their mother. The long-suffering woman blinded by love is destined to be rejected; her personal tragedy ultimately stems from her unrealistic desires—to become a doctoral wife. The jealous mistress of a kept man appears outwardly compliant with her loyal male partner, yet secretly seduces friends or colleagues; happiness depends on whether she has stable financial resources, while emotional undercurrents may tip her over at any moment. The proud foreign language woman does not go with the flow during her misfortunes and never gives up on her opportunities to turn her life around, always prepared—her destiny is in her own hands, refusing to rely on others; she is remarkable! These four women represent the common people, each family has its own struggles, each with their own misfortunes. Their happiness may be influenced by both random and inevitable factors—an independent woman who does not wait for others has a greater chance of happiness than a lovelorn woman blindly believing in love and vows. Human calculations are no match for fate; a despairing woman losing her dignity still carries the burden of a comatose partner, yet surprisingly encounters an exceptional man; happiness seems simple but actually hides complexities! Should one trust others or trust oneself? Trusting one's own judgment means being the last to know about being dumped. Selling oneself to support a boyfriend, only to discover he is spending her money to woo other women—what a tragedy! Trusting what others say, every time her doubts arise, they are not merely jealousy but a mysterious sixth sense; she is always right, and the appearance of happiness hides turbulent emotions!
