 Synopsis
This film is based on Philip K. Dick's short story "Adjustment Team." David Norris (played by Matt Damon), who is destined for the political stage, is a rising star in politics. During his confident campaign for senator of New York, he unexpectedly meets the beautiful ballet dancer Alice (played by Emily Blunt), and they fall in love at first sight. Just as their feelings deepen, David is suddenly kidnapped by a group of mysterious individuals in black suits, hats, and sunglasses. This group, claiming to belong to the Federal Bureau of Life Adjustment, informs David that he is meant to be president and that Alice will become a world-famous choreographer. Their love for each other will jeopardize their futures. The Adjustment Bureau will do everything in its power to prevent them from meeting again. Will David, knowing the truth, pursue his dreams and give up on Alice, or will he fight against the Adjustment Bureau for true love?
