Nanchang Uprising

In the summer of 1926, the factional warlords suffered a devastating defeat in the second Northern Expedition of the Nationalist Revolutionary Army. Zhou Enlai (played by Kong Xiangyu) was assigned by the party to find He Long (played by Gao Changli) to inquire about his next plans. After years of warlord chaos, He Long was already tired and expressed his willingness to follow the party. Zhou Enlai analyzed the severe situation at the Central Committee meeting and learned that Wang Jingwei (played by Li Ning) was prepared to take action against the workers' patrol team. He decisively dissolved the patrol team and incorporated its members and weapons into He Long's 20th Army. Upon discovering Wang's plan for a counter-revolutionary coup, Zhou Enlai proposed an armed uprising after consulting the central authority.
