A Xing (played by Stephen Chow) returns from learning under the God of Gamblers. Just as he does so, a group of masters from the military, unwilling to accept defeat, gather at Zhongnanhai for revenge. Although he has the assistance of Long Wu (played by Xiang Huaqiang), A Xing and his Uncle San (played by Ng Man-tat) are still captured by the military and sent back to Shanghai in 1937. After being separated from Uncle San, A Xing accidentally kills the murderer of Xu Wenqiang and meets Ding Li (played by Lu Liangwei).
