The story takes place a few days after the outbreak of World War II on the Eastern Front, where Nazi Germany's SS Commander Martin Linz intends to awaken the superpowered forces of the Crusaders from the 12th century and form a ghost army to conquer the Soviet Union. The five young protagonists in the film, Nadya, Leo, Zena, Marat, and Valya, are enhanced soldiers who have undergone surgical modifications in the Soviet army, and their mission is to do everything they can to eliminate this ghost army in order to thwart the ambitions of the Nazi commander.
