In the ancient kingdom of Akkad, located in the land between the two rivers, the Black Scorpion warriors are the most elite royal guards. Asha stands out among the Black Scorpions, and in order to protect his 13-year-old son Marshayas (played by Michael Copon), he offends General Sargon. Wielding dark magic, Sargon uses a poisonous scorpion to kill Asha. Determined to avenge his father, Marshayas joins the ranks of the Black Scorpions. Six years later, Marshayas returns home as an elite Black Scorpion, only to find that his enemy Sargon has replaced the old king as ruler. To test Marshayas's loyalty, Sargon orders him to kill his own brother. Marshayas rises in rebellion but ultimately cannot withstand Sargon's magic and escapes from Akkad. His childhood friend Layla (played by Karen Shenaz David) follows him on his journey, and together they travel to Egypt in search of the divine weapon that can defeat Sargon. They must confront the man-eating monster Minotaur and face the mysteries of the underworld that are beyond human understanding...
