In order to pursue an international criminal organization hidden in South Korea, North Korean detective Lim Tae-ryeong (played by Hyun Bin) is involved in a new joint task force. Meanwhile, South Korean detective Kang Jin-tae (played by Ryu Jun-yeol) is reassigned to the cyber investigation team due to an error during the search, he volunteers to become Tae-ryeong's partner in order to return to the regional investigation team. Min-young (played by Im Yoon-ah), who meets Tae-ryeong again, rekindles her love for him. However, both Tae-ryeong and Jin-tae harbor doubts about each other but still embark on a quite decent investigative operation. Just when they finally locate the hideout of the criminal organization's leader, Jang Myung-jun (played by Jeon Sang-gyu), FBI agent Jack (played by Daniel Henney) from the United States suddenly appears before them. The bittersweet South Korean detective, the equally outstanding North Korean detective, and the American detective from the FBI unite for their respective purposes to embark on an exhilarating joint investigation.
