After lying low for two years, Dom (played by Vin Diesel) and Brian (played by Paul Walker) team up again to steal a mysterious luxury car from a train, only to be pursued by both the police and gang members. Brian and Mia (played by Jordana Brewster) head to Rio in search of reinforcements and reunite with Dom. To find the whereabouts of Dom and his crew, FBI ace agent Luke (played by Dwayne Johnson) steps in, forming an elite team to trace them to Rio. He enlists the help of the beautiful detective Elena (played by Elsa Pataky), who is grieving her husband, to join the search for Dom. Meanwhile, local thugs in Rio fire upon these unwelcome guests, resulting in a clash between three factions. During this turmoil, as Mia becomes pregnant, Brian decides to accompany her in their escape, leaving Dom dependent on his old friends to uncover the secret of the new car. With the help of Roman, Han, and others, Dom finally discovers the secret of the car—a chip—and uncovers a hidden agenda behind it...
