On Christmas Eve, the weather is unusually hot, and the whole city is shrouded in an inexplicable mystery. The power station, running at full load, is filled with crises, and the fire department is on high alert. The personal troubles of the firefighters add emotional conflicts to this 'hard battle'. He Yongsen (played by Jay Chou), You Bangchao (played by Eddie Peng), and Ye Zhihui (played by Andy On) have been brothers for ten years, but now they each harbor secrets: He Yongsen, who is highly regarded, is reassigned from the fire department against his will; Ye Zhihui is swiftly advancing due to his networking skills; You Bangchao, carefree and unburdened by the entanglements of others, faces a troubled marriage. The hidden secrets of betrayal among the three brothers further tighten their relationships. Meanwhile, a mainland super firefighter, Haiyang (played by Hu Jun), arrives as a 'rookie' at the Hong Kong fire department, facing challenges from 'veteran' Pei Zong (played by Simon Yam), while he himself has an unresolved emotional issue. The crisis finally strikes when an explosion at the power station plunges Hong Kong into unprecedented darkness. A group of people is trapped in the inferno, hanging by a thread. Firefighters enter the pitch-black environment, battling through lethal smoke, trying to save lives while dealing with brotherly conflicts, and the higher-ups' orders for stability frequently emerge. Should they choose 'one life for another, saving one counts' or 'follow orders, prioritize the greater good'? This fire is not just about rescue; it is also about redemption among brothers, clearing the smoke that blinds their hearts.
