35,000 British soldiers were airborne into the enemy territory of the Netherlands, which had been occupied by Germany. In this largest airborne invasion in history, a small group of soldiers code-named 'Matchbox' had their own mission. When 'Matchbox' was shot down outside the landing zone, their chances of success seemed to diminish. Seven completely different British soldiers found themselves separated from the Allied raiding force and collided with three defected German soldiers, who also wanted to assert their claims.
