Director Shoojit Sircar's new film "Madras Cafe" is about an agent from the Indian intelligence agency, set in the late 1980s to early 1990s. After the withdrawal of Indian peacekeeping forces, a special agent is sent to Sri Lanka to carry out a covert mission to disrupt the reactionary forces in the civil war. Deeply embroiled in chaos and political conspiracies, he encounters a British journalist and averts an assassination attempt. The film is shot by cinematographer Kamaljeet Negi using ALEXA. Filming locations include Malaysia, Thailand, London, and India. Recently, Negi gave an exclusive interview to ARRI, sharing his shooting experiences.
