Cleveland Brown is a mild-mannered good man who is liked by all his neighbors. Many years ago, during high school, Cleveland Brown was madly in love with a girl named Donna. To his frustration, Donna had little feeling for him and married another man. Cleveland once told Donna that he would love her forever, and if that man ever wronged her, he would wait for her to change her mind. Unexpectedly, Donna's husband really did run off with another woman, leaving Donna with her teenage daughter and a newborn child. Thus, Donna returned to Cleveland, promising him another chance at love. Keeping his promise, Cleveland happily accepted the invitation and brought his 14-year-old son, 'Cleveland Jr.', to Virginia, preparing to start a new family with Donna. However, he faced many troubles with his stepdaughter Roberta, who was flirtatious and rebellious; his stepson Rallo, who loved to tease women since he was five; their loud farmer neighbor Lester; the quirky and trendy 'Man-Child' Holt; and the rigidly devout English couple Tim and Arianna.
