Intro： The Emperor's KitchenThe story takes place in the early 20th century, where the second son, Tokuzou (played by Takeru Satoh), born into the Akiyama family in Fukui, does not become an enviable lawyer like his older brother (played by Ryohei Suzuki). He even goes so far as to sever ties with his father-in-law and moves to Tokyo to study culinary arts. During this time, the appearances of Usami (played by Kaoru Kobayashi) and Iobaki (played by Masaya Katou) drive the changes in Tokuzou's fate. He focuses on honing his culinary skills as he strides toward a brilliant future... This film is based on a novel written by Hisashi Sugimori, inspired by the story of Tokuzou Akiyama, the head of the Imperial Household Agency's kitchen.
