Apocalypse (played by Oscar Isaac) was born at the dawn of human civilization and worshipped as a god by humanity. However, he was betrayed by the very humans he despised the most and buried beneath the rubble for thousands of years. An accident causes the slumbering Apocalypse to awaken from chaos, and upon returning to the world, he discovers that the once-noble mutants are now in a dire situation. To create a new world for mutants, he recruits Storm (played by Alexandra Shipp), Psylocke (played by Olivia Munn), Angel (played by Ben Hardy), and Magneto (played by Michael Fassbender), who desires a normal life but is still hunted by humans, to form the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Upon sensing Apocalypse's movements, Professor X (played by James McAvoy) joins forces with Mystique (played by Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (played by Nicholas Hoult), and Phoenix (played by Sophie Turner), vowing to thwart Apocalypse's plans.
