The film tells the story of a woman named Molly, who, after more than a year of treatment for her mental trauma, is finally discharged from the hospital. To start a new life, she moves into a new apartment. One day, she hears mysterious knocking noises coming from upstairs, but the person living above claims to hear nothing. As the knocking becomes more frequent, Molly increasingly feels that someone is in distress, yet the people around her believe she is relapsing, and Molly gradually descends into hysteria. Is all of this just her imagination or is it really happening?
