The real name of Sayuri is Kazuko Ikeda, and she comes from a tragic background. Her parents passed away when she was young, and she grew up in an orphanage. After graduating from high school, Sayuri (played by Sayuri herself) became a hostess. After many ups and downs, she eventually became a famous striptease queen. In the 1970s, Noda in Osaka was a place where low-level craftsmen gathered. The Yoshino Music Theater was located nearby, where men would come and go just to admire Sayuri's charm. Performances like 'Hana-gasa Arou' and 'Scarlet Peony Arou,' along with SM acts, captivated them, but Sayuri also got into trouble as the police charged her with 'public indecency,' facing the threat of imprisonment, making her retirement performance extremely difficult. Meanwhile, a girl named Harumi (played by Hiroko Izayama) also comes to the theater, seemingly idolizing Sayuri and aiming to surpass her. Is a new generation of queens about to emerge? This film is a semi-biographical account of Sayuri and is the only film she ever starred in.
