Synopsis

As a country with an open attitude towards sexuality, Japan has gradually evolved a unique sexual skill within its already rich and diverse sexual culture—bondage culture. This culture is recorded to have begun during the Meiji period, with the painter Ito Jun'ichi leaving behind a depiction of bondage in his work 'Punishment Pictures.' It went through the Taisho and Showa periods, and despite being criticized and suppressed by moralists, bondage culture has spread relentlessly. The unconventional director Hiroki Ryuichi has turned his lens toward this still very mysterious field, capturing the entire process of bondage performances. He also interviewed three famous bondage practitioners: Nuruki Chimu, Yukimura Haruki, and Arasue Gou. They discussed the origins of their profession, as well as their understanding and insights about bondage, while the three actresses also spoke about their real feelings during the bondage process...
