Synopsis

Northeastern guy Li Ruyi (played by Cui Zhijia) faces setbacks in his directing career and is urged for debts by creditor Seven Brother (played by Qiao Shan). In desperation, he seeks financial help from his good friends Zhang Lei (played by Wei Xiang) and Boss Jia (played by Allen) but is playfully turned down. Just when he feels cornered, Li Ruyi showcases his culinary talent, transforming into a hot pot 'leader' and vows to lead his crew to win the million-dollar prize in the 'Hot Pot Championship!' On the road to victory, Li Ruyi engages in a series of hilarious and absurd competitions with his father-in-law Yuan Fei (played by Zhang Qi), rival Chen Hualiu (played by Yu Yang), and unlucky buddy Xiao Tian (played by Song Xiaobao). In the end, who will claim the championship? Will Li Ruyi continue to shine in the hot pot industry? A dramatic life awaits to be unlocked...
