The sudden suicide case of the Austrian heir has reactivated Sherlock Holmes (played by Robert Downey Jr.) after a six-month silence. This time, Holmes has a formidable opponent – Professor Moriarty (played by Jared Harris), who is intellectually on par with him. To thoroughly investigate the suicide case of the heir, Holmes, along with Watson (played by Jude Law), teams up with the Gypsy astrologer Sim (played by Noomi Rapace) and engages in a contest against Moriarty across the entire European continent, from England to France, Germany, and beyond. Although he is called the smartest man, Professor Moriarty seems to be able to predict Holmes's movements, often staying one step ahead of him. The people on Moriarty's death list are being eliminated one by one, potentially rewriting history. Faced with such a powerful foe, how will Holmes respond?
