In the near future, genius scientist Will Caster (played by Johnny Depp) develops the "Pin" artificial intelligence robot, which is the closest to human-like behavior. While he earns acclaim from the scientific community, he also faces countless criticisms and attacks from opponents. After a conference, Will is shot by a member of a radical organization.
