29-year-old Yuko Sabushita (played by An Natsumi) is a woman with an extremely regular life, to the point of being obsessively rigid. She graduated from a prestigious university and lives a stable life as a civil servant, being meticulous about everything and preferring to quantify things with numbers. Occasionally, she argues with the ghost of her deceased mother (played by Eiko Koike). To ease her father's (played by Yutaka Matsushige) emotions and due to her disapproval of modern views on love, she reluctantly enters the world of marriage hunting. Meanwhile, 35-year-old Takumi Taniguchi (played by Hiroki Hasegawa) considers himself a "high-class vagrant" and is a seasoned NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training). He spends his days lounging at home, reading and watching movies, relying entirely on his mother (played by Jun Fubuki) for his daily life. After his mother passes away, he is forced to muster the courage to go on dates with women from the real world to secure a long-term meal ticket. When these two peculiar individuals meet for the first time, they neither have any special feelings for each other but find common ground in their wildly imaginative views on marriage and love. Will there be love blossoming during their dates?
