In "The Fast and the Furious 1", to escape from police pursuit, Dominic (played by Vin Diesel) leaves Los Angeles and goes into hiding in the Dominican Republic. A truckload of oil worth 1.4 million dollars brings Dominic back behind the wheel after years of hiding. At that moment, he receives the tragic news of his close friend Letty's (played by Michelle Rodriguez) death. Fueled by rage, Dominic returns to the U.S. alone to uncover the truth.
