Third-year university student Yan Xiaojia (played by Gigi Leung) secretly has a crush on the sports enthusiast Wen Tao (played by Tong Dawei). By chance, she brings home a radio, and one night she hears a call coming from it. The boy on the other end introduces himself as Wen Jiahui (played by Jerry Zhu), who loves shortwave radio and hopes to get a response from anyone listening.
