A childhood incident caused Peter Parker (played by Andrew Garfield) to be separated from his parents for life. In the blink of an eye, Peter becomes a high school student and accidentally discovers his father's briefcase. Getting clues from Uncle Ben (played by Martin Sheen), he sets off to visit his father's former partner, Dr. Curt Connors (played by Rhys Ifans), at Oscorp. While searching for clues in the company, Peter is unexpectedly bitten by a spider, and strange changes begin to occur in his body during his return journey.
