Sam is a French man of Algerian descent who has just been released from a prison in France and found a job on a construction site through a probation program. However, he soon becomes entangled with a group of criminals who demand that he transport drugs. After he refuses, they attack and threaten him. To escape the turmoil, Sam flees to Thailand and starts a new life. There, he meets a Thai-French woman named Mia, and they fall in love and adopt a little girl named Dara together. They dream of opening a restaurant on the beach, and to fulfill this dream, Sam starts participating in Muay Thai competitions to earn startup capital. However, tragedy strikes again when a local criminal named Narong tries to force Sam to smuggle drugs at the airport in exchange for the beachfront property he desires. After Sam refuses, Narong's men kill Mia and kidnap Dara. Believing Dara is dead, a grief-stricken Sam decides to seek revenge for his family's death. With the help of his friend and mentor Hansa, Sam tracks down and kills all those responsible, including Narong. In the final showdown, Sam discovers that Dara is actually alive and has returned to their village.
