In 2075, the depletion of natural resources devastates Earth, and an elite team is sent to an abandoned research base on the moon to carry out a special mission. On Christmas Eve, astrobiologist Song Ji-an (played by Bae Doona) has just arrived on the moon. She is a member of this elite team, dispatched to the moon with a mission to save the Earth, which is suffering from the exhaustion of natural resources. For humanity, the moon remains an infinitely mysterious place with many unknown domains.
