Court psychologist Sally Rowe was appointed by the police to determine whether there is enough evidence to charge 17-year-old Alex with murder, as he is accused of shooting his classmate Nigel. Due to the lack of physical evidence, the detectives in the case are under considerable pressure from Alex's powerful father to block the surveillance. Upon delving into the strange symbiotic contract between Alex and Nigel, Rowe discovers that although Nigel is dead, his spirit still significantly influences Alex.
