Huang Yongfa (played by Zhang Jiahui) has had the ability to see ghosts since childhood. He often helps people exorcise spirits, and his childhood experiences have led him to live for many years with the female ghost Jiang Xue (played by Kuo Tsai Chieh), with a bond that feels both motherly and romantic. During a ghost-exorcising session with his buddy A Cong (played by Zhang Jichong), Ah Fa encounters a tall, malevolent ghost. The video of this exorcism is uploaded online, attracting the attention of a media outlet, and a female reporter, Zi Ning (played by Cai Sibei), is sent to interview Ah Fa. Although Ah Fa refuses her, Zi Ning tries various methods to see a ghost, which leads to her facing considerable difficulties. During this time, there are a series of killings of sorcerers in the underworld, and Ah Fa realizes that all of this is related to the sinister ghost he encountered previously.
