Written by Jeff Rake and directed by David Frankel, "Manifest" tells the story of a plane, Montego Air Flight 828, that disappeared without a trace five years ago, but suddenly reappeared, a plane that everyone thought had crashed into the ocean. The problem is, while it seems like five years have passed to the outside world, everyone on board has no awareness of this lapse in time, as if they have traveled through time. Melissa Roxburgh plays Michaela Stone, who, before the incident, was troubled about whether she was suited to be a police officer and fiancée due to an accident; after her mysterious disappearance and return, she gains a new purpose in life. Josh Dallas portrays Ben Stone, an intelligence analyst who is a typical Type A personality struggling with two problems - his son's rare cancer and the mysterious voices in his head. J.R. Ramirez plays Detective Jared Williams, who, despite deeply loving his fiancée who was on the missing plane, has moved on over the years. However, his fiancée's return puts him in a dilemma. Athena Karkanis plays Grace Stone, who, after her husband and son have been missing for many years, miraculously reunites with them and decides to embrace this new normal. Parveen Kaur plays graduate student and medical researcher Saanvi, who, after years of disappearance, discovers her work has made remarkable breakthroughs in the medical field. Luna Blaise plays Olive, Cal's twin sister; in the past, her father and brother could never move past the loss of Olive, and when she returns, their relationship remains as it was, the only difference being the twins' ages.
