The gangster crime drama "City on a Hill," created by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, has found its gang members, with actors Jonathan Tucker ("Kingdom," "American Gods") and Kevin Dunn ("Transformers 1," "True Detective") joining the cast. The premise of the show comes from Affleck and fellow Bostonian Chuck MacLean, set against the backdrop of the fictional initiative "Boston Miracle" aimed at reducing youth gun violence in the early 1990s. It tells the story of a local prosecutor from Brooklyn, Decourcy Ward (played by Aldis Hodge), teaming up with a corrupt but still respected FBI veteran, Jackie Rhodes (played by Kevin Bacon), to take down a car theft family. Tucker plays one of their targets – Frankie Ryan, who on the surface appears to be just an ordinary blue-collar Bostonian with a wife and kids, and a brother named Jimmy (played by Mark O'Brien). However, Frankie is actually the leader of a car theft gang called the Two Saints. Dunn plays Nathan Rey, an assistant district attorney in Suffolk County who is politically savvy and also Ward's superior. The show is directed by Michael Cuesta ("Homeland"), who replaces original director Gavin O'Connor, who left to direct "The Suicide Squad 2." Filming is set to begin this month in Boston.
