This is based on a true story. During the Boer War, Captain Morant and several of his friends served in the British army in South Africa. During an operation to encircle the Boer guerrillas, Captain Hunter was injured and caught by the Boer and brutally killed. Morant then pursued the guerrillas under the orders of his superiors and shot all the prisoners, which triggered a series of revenge and revenge. The leadership of both sides pushed Morant and his friends to scapegoat in the final stage of the war to shirk responsibility in the war.
