 Synopsis
The diplomat Justin (played by Ralph Fiennes) at the British Embassy in Kenya is easy-going and leads a simple life, spending his days tending to the plants in his garden. However, one day, misfortune strikes this seemingly aloof man. His wife Tessa (played by Rachel Weisz), a lawyer who champions justice, is found dead in the countryside, with the investigation concluding that she was murdered by her lover. After this shocking revelation, Justin, initially engulfed in anger, carefully reflects on the situation and finds many inconsistencies in the official account. Thus, this calm and gentle man vows to uncover the truth behind his wife's death. After facing numerous difficulties in gathering evidence, Justin finally begins to uncover the event's truth: Tessa had discovered that a British pharmaceutical company with deep political ties was using AIDS patients in Kenya to test their new drugs, resulting in the tragic deaths of hundreds of AIDS patients!
