 Synopsis
During the Republic of China period, mainland China was experiencing the chaos of warlords and constant fighting. Japan was fostering the puppet Manchukuo regime in the Northeast and secretly devising plans to invade China. Meanwhile, a large number of precious cultural relics from outside the Great Wall began to appear in the black market for antiques in the Far East. To protect these national treasures, the Central Cultural Relics Protection Organization decided to launch an important operation. They secretly established a dedicated railway line at the Far East Railway hub in Harbin, aiming to safely transport the national treasures collected from outside the Great Wall to the interior. However, the secret treasures of the Qing Dynasty around Jiulong Town became the target for tomb raiders, and frequent blasting incidents raised widespread concern. All of this indicated that the safety of the national treasure railway line was under threat, especially with the Japanese military becoming aware of it, making protective efforts increasingly urgent. Against this backdrop, young archaeologists Zhang Yiming and Du Xiao received an emergency mission from the relic protection organization. They were tasked with completing a daunting job within ten days—sending the precious national treasures from the Qing Dynasty's secret stash onto the last train, which was about to be canceled. Although both were bookish scholars, they were filled with patriotic fervor and rich archaeological knowledge. They quickly headed to Jiulong Town, facing layers of daunting challenges, and began their tense and perilous journey to protect the national treasures. They had to make full use of their expertise to overcome numerous difficulties to ensure that these precious relics could be safely delivered.
