After this time, Kurt finally understands that he is on a mission to investigate the Chicago train bombing, to find the terrorists and uncover their next target. Kurt is sent back to the high-speed train repeatedly, each time with only eight minutes to investigate. During these investigations, Kurt discovers that he had died a week ago. It turns out he is part of a secret mission called 'Source Code,' which reconstructs events using the brain cells of the deceased Kurt that are not yet fully dead, in order to reveal the truth. Ultimately, Kurt successfully completes the mission, but he decides to return to the train once again to save the innocent lives aboard...
