White Snake: The Fate of Love

On Spirit Snake Mountain, the sisters White Snake and Green Snake diligently practiced their cultivation. When White Snake encountered danger at a critical juncture, she was fortunately rescued by Xu Xian, who was searching for medicine in the mountains. In her dreams, White Snake comprehended the six-character verse "enter the human world, understand warmth and cold," and went into the city to seek its meaning. The underworld's great demon king coveted White Snake's spiritual pearl for nearly a thousand years. Upon learning that she had appeared in the mortal realm, he sent his underlings, the judges, to seal off the city and search for her. White Snake met Xu Xian and healed her classmate Gao Jin's critically ill father. Unbeknownst to them, Gao Jin discovered that White Snake was a demon and reported the matter to the underworld. The judges followed the trail, and in order to protect Xu Xian, White Snake was severely injured and revealed her true form, shocking Xu Xian. He took the fainted White Snake back to the mountain, but was subsequently compelled by the Dream Sea to part ways with her. Gao Jin deceived Xu Xian into discovering White Snake's hiding place. Spirit Snake Mountain was tragically slaughtered, and White Snake transferred the thousand-year spiritual pearl into Xu Xian's body to help him escape. Knowing that living beings could not approach the demon king, Xu Xian chose to take his own heart. With the help of Dream Sea and Green Snake, he sacrificed himself to rescue White Snake from the underworld, losing his heart and dying in the process. A hundred years later, White Snake gave up on becoming an immortal and returned to the human realm to find Xu Xian, who had already reincarnated.
