The First Order, led by the evil Snoke, is sweeping away the last remnants of the Resistance with unprecedented destructive power. After much searching, Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) finally finds the reclusive Luke Skywalker (played by Mark Hamill) in a corner of the galaxy, while her own powers are slowly awakening. The Resistance, heavily wounded, hangs by a thread; in a desperate bid to escape the First Order's pursuit, Finn (played by John Boyega) and Rose (played by Kelly Marie Tran) flee from the flagship, trying to find someone who can bring them back to life, while the heroically inclined Poe (played by Oscar Isaac) stays behind to witness the Resistance's most critical and desperate moments. Meanwhile, Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver) finds a connection to Rey's spiritual world, leading to a final confrontation with his mentor, Luke.
